Dear Seoul Eats Readers,

I would first like to give a warm welcome to Michelle Min who will be joining the Seoul Eats team as a photographer. Michelle is a great photographer and graphic designer. She and I are currently working together at O’ngo Food Communications. Michelle is designing our company website and for chef Anna Kim. You can see her design website here.

Thank you Michelle and thanks for the great pictures!

As I mentioned in a previous post, all I want for Christmas is olive oil and wine from VineStock. The wines are exceptional and so is the olive oil.

They have a wide range of wines and foods which are perfect for the holidays.

Here is Thomas the sommelier. He is one of the most passionate and knowledgeable sommeliers that I have met. We had a great tasting today of some his best wines.
Wow….nice shot, Michelle.
Here was one of our most favorite wines: Inspire. The label design represents a new grape vine.

The Abrate Ceisa 1999 was my favorite bottle. It had a red, effervescent bite that left the mind clear. It had hints of cherry, chocolate, and awesomeness.

Here is the wine set, I would like someone to give me for Christmas. It has balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil from Terre Bormane.

Here is another shot of the Inspire wine label.

See…Michelle can even make the labels of olive jars look good.

We did a tasting of these olive oils and they are so much better than what you’ll get at the supermarket or even the department stores.

A rackful of wines.

This is 20 year old balsamic vinegar.

Thomas is from Alsace, so he knows the best wines from the region. I love the artful labels. Here you have a 2007 Reisling, a 2007 Pinot Gris, and a wine named Fleur de Lotus.

The riesling was sharp and flinty with a chilly anise lift at the end. I think this would be a perfect wine with sushi.

The pinot gris was a medium bodied wine with floral and herbal notes. Thomas recommend this wine with Galbi jjim.

This Luca Abrate Moscat has not been released yet, but the sparkling apple notes left everyone wanting more. It will be released next year.

Another shot of the 1999 Ceisa. This wine was just released this year because the vineyard will keep it in storage until it is ready to be drank.
