THE CLASS ON THE 13TH IS FULL. WE WILL BE PLANNING ANOTHER CLASS FOR THE 27th. WE WILL BE DOING A WALKING CULINARY FOOD TOUR ON THE 20TH. DETAILS WILL BE POSTED SOON. THANKS FOR ALL THE INTEREST!

Dan

The first culinary tour and cooking class run by O’ngo Food Communications and Seoul Eats was a great success, according to the Chosun Newspaper, and we are ready to do the next one. The first class was a promotional class; now we are ready to do it for real.

There will first be a tour of Eunma Market to see a wide range of Korean products such as vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, rice cakes, and even fresh made tofu. The guides will explain the unusual and notable foods in the market. We will also have a chance to enjoy some snacks in the market.

Freshly steamed tofu

We will then go to M-cooking Studio to learn from Chef Eddie and Chef Sean to learn how to make Korean food. The menu is:

Salad: Fresh Kimchi, Spinach, and Bean Sprout Sprout Side Dish

Entree: Daktoritang (Spicy Ginger Chicken) and Rice
Dessert: Persimmon Cinnamon Mousse with Vanilla Ice cream

Each student will make their own dish and then they will be able to enjoy their dish at the end of class.

The class will be on Saturday March 13th. The cost for the tour, cooking class, food, recipe book, and cooking class will be 50,000 won. The class will start at 10:30 and finish by 2pm.

There are only limited spaces available and preference will be given to non-Korean citizens and travelers that are on vacation to Korea.

As an added bonus, each student will get a copy of An Illustrated Guide on How to Eat Korean Food.

This seems to be a great opportunity for the tourists and learners who are non Korean to get here and learn some really fabulous Korean cooking art. This will definitely be of great help and use for those who wants to become a good cook. I wish I could have been there. Anyways all the best for your next class.
