Night Dining Tour

On Friday Night and Saturday Night we will be having our Night Dining Tour where you can eat and drink the night away in historic Jongno 3-ga. We will start the night at a tent restaurant (a Pochamacha), then go to garmaeggisal (pork rib barbecue), and then finish the night at a rice wine (makgeolli) restaurant. The cost for this tour is 80,000 won ($71.00 per person). The tour will start at 7pm and finish at 10pm. The tour guide for this tour will be Me (Daniel Gray, founder of Seoul Eats and Foodie Extraordinaire^^).

Korean Taste Tour

On Saturday Morning we’ll have our Korean Food Tasting and Tea Tour. 
First you’ll go to a traditional Korean Buddhist Restaurant to enjoy a custom menu of over 20 different dishes. This meal will be paired with a few traditional Korean alcohols. Then you’ll get a tour of Insadong to show you some of the best restaurants and bars in the area. Finally, there will be a Korean tea tasting and dessert at a local tea shop. The tour guide for this tour will be Professor Jia Choi.

Tours start at 11am on Saturday April 17th. The tour will meet at Anguk Station (Subway Line 3) Exit 6 at 10:45am.  The tour costs 80,000 won or $71.00 per person. Chef Shawn Park

This week’s Korean Cooking Class with Chef Shawn will be on Saturday April 17th. There will be two classes: the first at 10:30am and the 2nd at 3:30pm.

This week’s menu is: Bossam, Turnip Kimchi, White Clam Sundubu Soup. Dessert will be provided

The class will be held in Haebangchon (near Noksopyeong Station Exit 2). You will first go to a traditional market to buy the ingredients. Then you will go to my apartment (don’t worry, it’s big) to watch him give a demonstration on how to make the different dishes. You will be able to help participate in making some of the dishes, but it is mainly a demonstration. You will get a recipe book on how to make your own dishes at home. The class will be taught in English and a meal will be provided.The class will last 2 and a half hours and there are only 8 spots available for the class.

The class will cost 40,000 per person and that includes the class, recipes, dinner, and dessert. Contact Dan Gray at seouleats@gmail.com to make reservations.
