Discussions at the Seoul Eats Facebook Group: The Chili Dog and the Service Scandal

The Seoul Eats Facebook Group is an interesting community. There are over 1600 members and there are constant discussions about food there. We do meet ups once in a while as well and I am planning more in the future.

A recent discussion that came up is about where to get the best chili dog and then it turned into a discussion about how service in Korea needs to change. This is something that I agree with. There are some places that have awful service and they need to change or get out of the hospitality business.

Here is the discussion and you can join the group here by clicking on the link.

    • B I saw a guy eating a monstrous chili dog, looked like something i'd see at Pink's, at a place called Jacoby's, near Noksapyung.

    • J I avoid Jacoby's like the plague...If only because I've been there on multiple occasions and their service seems to get worse every time.

    • C ‎Chili King is advertising chili dogs while supplies last. He's from New Brunswick, so legitimate Canadian, as far as you can trust those guys. The chili at his shop is amazing. I usually go for the chili burger. Matt, at Hollywood Grill, has the poutine. He's almost Canadian, from Vancouver. ;-)

    • S A lot of places in Korea have poor service, but there are only a few places that have service that makes you angry. Jacoby's is one of those places. In fact, I would go as far as to say that Jacoby's has the worst service in the history of Itaewon eateries. I wouldn't go back even if they were giving away free food. That's how bad it is.
