Hyeri Art Village

These days I am feeling very artsy and with my camera I feel like I can capture some great shots. It's a Panasonic DMC G-2. My go-to lens is the 20mm with 1.7 aperture. I really like to play around with the different filters they have built into the camera such as "pure, expressive, retro etc. It's great for me since I am a lazy photographer: I don't like to photoshop. Anyway, I'll get back to food pictures soon, but here are a couple shots of my visit to Hyeri Art Village. It was made by the CEO of Crown Bakery. He has been buying up old "Love Motels" and he is converting them to art museums and artist communes. If you are a photographer, I recommend you head up to this place. Samcheongdong at Night with my New 20mm 1.7 lens!

I love my Panasonic DMC-G2 Camera. It's lighter, more compact than my Canon 500D and I love the colors that it gets. I'm still getting used to the controls, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. I find it best if I shoot in Manual Mode. Yesterday, I bought the 20mm 1.7 lense because, even though I like the option of adding my 35mm Canon F2 lens, it is hard to get fine focus because it doesn't autofocus. The 20mm lens is brighter and faster than the 35mm and works pretty well at night. Photoblog: I Love My New Camera: Panasonic DMC-G2

I know, I should be writing about food, but I am just in love with my new camera! For years, I have only used Canon. I had a canon point and shoot and later graduated to the Powershot G9 before getting a Canon Rebel with a 35mm lens. The one thing that I always envied where the colors that Panasonic cameras could get. I finally decided to make the switch when the Panasonic DMC-G2 came out. This is what attracted me to this camera: the processor, the kit lens which was half decent, and the swiveling LCD screen. The main thing, I must admit was the ability to attach other lenses onto the body. I could easily get a lens adapter and add my beloved 35mm lens to the body and even get strange lenses like a CCTV lense with a 1.4 F stop. It's a fun camera to play with and I recommend it. Daegu at Night

I just got a new camera: A Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2. I know, I'm a traitor to those who like Canon or Nikon. I used to shoot on Canon with my 32mm F2 lens, but I decided to make the switch to Panasonic because I have always been a fan of the color that you can get with their cameras. The G2 was attractive to me because it: 1) is smaller than a Canon 2) has an articulating LCD screen 3) has autofocus for video 4) you can mount many different lenses to it including my canon lenses (via a lense mount adapter) Over the weekend, I went down to my hometown, Daegu and here are some shots that I got at night. I highly recommend you head down there- they have an excellent nightlife. Let me know what you think of the image quality of the pictures- I'm still learning how to use it^^.
