Love is like a box of Chocolates. The Grand InterContinental Seoul’s executive pastry chef Martin Chiffers has created boxes made of 100% chocolate and pink sugar. Contained within each box is a selection of chocolates including wild strawberries, ginseng, mulbery, raspberry rose petal, champagne bubbles and earl grey. Wine flight at Kabbinett in Itaewon. Kabbinett will be celebrating Valentine’s day with a selection of wines and food while couples will be serenaded by live music of the “Soul Lounge Trio” The set menu includes a glass of top quality, “Edition Baum”-German Riesling, a wine flight of 9 different red wines, an entree or cheese platter, and a glass of sparkling Lambrusco with a “White Wine Chocolate Mousse” for dessert. 6 pm-10 pm; music from 8:30pm. Candlelight dinner at Chef Meili in Itaewon. The 3 course dinner starts with a hot smoked salmon on a potato crust topped with avocado horseradish cream. Gastronomic Feast at Toque Diner in Hannam-dong. Chef Jane Chang offers a special 6 course meal Valentine's Day Dinner which has a theme of chocolate and strawberries. Start off with “Fresh Oysters and Seared Scallop with White Chocolate Champagne Sabayon, Roasted Red Pepper-Strawberry Soup with Strawberry Chips, and Beet and Strawberry Salad with Chocolate Dressing.” The entrees are, “Balsamic-Chocolate marinated Duck with Balsamic-Strawberry Sauce and Ribeye Steak with Red Wine-Chocolate Sauce and Seared Strawberries.” And finish your culinary journey with a “Chocolate Lava Cake with Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries.” W40,000 per person(VAT included). 794-3834.
