Nakwon tteokjip is pretty creative with their tteok selection. I recently had a cheese rice cake. It looked like cheese even if it didn't quite taste like it. They also have daechu, black raspberry, mugwort, green tea, and black rice. Good stuff and they are made fresh every day.
Now just because it is getting colder it doesn't mean you can't have ice cream. I think it actually tastes better when it is cold.
Lastly, the Dunkin Donuts in Korea are known for their "creative" donuts. Last year they had garlic donuts and they also had olive donuts.
It's this dilemma that Koreans seem to have: they must have something healthy. Sorry folks, but there is no such thing as a healthy donut. You shouldn't eat donuts if you are trying to be healthy. Anyway, while I was there last week I saw this strange donut: Tomato and Carrot Local Wheat Glazed Donut. It sounds like a mouthful and a headache. As intrigued and confused as I was, I opted not to try it. If I see it on the shelf the next time I am around a Dunkin Donuts, I'll be sure to give it a try. Well...maybe. Well...unless there is something more interesting.
