www.mysoju.com is my resource for watching Korean dramas.
I recommend watching Coffee Prince and Gourmet.
Gourmet is my new favorite Korean drama even though it has been mocked by a couple other bloggers. I am intrigued by the story and I think it has really good pacing and characters. The food element is well presented.
Of course, I do think this drama was heavily influenced by Iron Chef and Tampopo. But the saving grace is Kim So-Yeon. She is gorgeous and I can watch her all day long.

Check out the show!

Coffee Prince is definitely a great show. Its a little slow at the beginning, and slightly wierd at episode 9-10ish..but at the end ties it all up very well.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check out Gourmet. Right now Im watching "Mi Una Ga Una" (Likeable or Not) is what it translates to on mysoju.com
It was extremely popular during my trips to Korea in October 2007 all the way through May 2008. I got to see the final episode and I was so sad that it was all over. Anyways, I watched it almost every night during my stays in Korea, even though I couldnt understand the dialogue, it was still great.
