Coffee at Coffee Cupper in Gangneung. It's an amazing museum dedicated to coffee with machines throughout history. Coffee is incredible as well. Eating at Upscale Korean Hawker Center: D-Tower in Seoul, Korea

Eating at Upscale Korean Hawker Center: D-Tower in Seoul, Korea D-Tower is an impressive food complex with 5 floors of all restaurants. It's like a very upscale hawker experience that is focused on food, beer and coffee. We went to the Powerplant which is like a cafeteria but with beer. Very open atmosphere with a large beer selection. We got the Manimal Platter which was good (55,000 won) but I found quite a few chunks in the pulled pork. The chicken and the pork belly were luscious. I also liked their chili mac n cheese. We also got the lobster roll (19,000) which was alright, but meh for the price. The place is great to hang out with some friends for a few hours or so but I find that I prefer smaller hole-in-the-walls. The only problem I had is that after so much eating and drinking at D-Tower, there isn't much else to do such as shopping or anything else. Let's see if this concept will work in Korea. I hope it does, but I find that most Koreans want it all: shoppi...

Peking Duck from Dadong restaurant, Beijing

Peking Duck from Dadong restaurant, Beijing Epic Peking Duck from Dadong. Lives up to the hype and it is excellent. The skin is like caramel foie gras when dipped in sugar. Yes, with sugar. The meat is moist and clean tasting- not gamey and I loved the condiments and wraps for the duck. Have it with some greens -I got the bitter greens (not bitter) and some tea. The whole meal was around $50usd for a half duck but I could have easily eaten a whole one. One caveat, chef's are great but servers are not really attentive. You have to be a bit demanding to get what you want. Oh, and don't be intimidated by the giant novel-like menus. Just get to the duck section and get that and order a side of greens and the condiments. #duck #beijing #pekingduck #dadong @cbcebulski @ajumamacbus

Handmade Jajangmyeong at O'mori Kimchi

O'mori Kimchi Chiggae Handmade Jajangmyeong at O'mori Kimchi Handmade Jajangmyeong at O'mori Kimchi which has always been one of my go to spots for Korean food. The restaurant has the greatest hits of Korean comfort food such as kimchi stew, black bean noodles (jajangmyeon), dumplings and more. The one by the old Myeongbo art hall is the best one. Here is a noodle master making some hand pulled noodles for jajangmyeon. #koreanfood #jajangmyeon #foodporn #seouleats #자장면 #면 #noodles

Lunch at the Surf Club in Saipan

Lunch at the Surf Club in Saipan Lunch at the Surf Club in Saipan Had an excellent meal at Surf Club in Saipan. Great food in a unique beachside restaurant. It's an excellent chillaxinf spot with a private beach, good drinks and good food. He pad Thai was excellent and so was the pork chop. I want to get a burger next time. I would say this was the best, quality restaurant I went to in Saipan. #saipaneats #vacation #saipan #beach instagram @seouleats

Breakfast at the Shack in Saipan

Breakfast at the Shack in Saipan My favorite breakfast place during my vacation in Saipan was at the Shack. Open only from 9-2pm, the place was a hippy-ish place with smoothies, crepes, salads and some local BBQ and home-style food. Great vibe and focused concept. Everyone was super friendly and the flavors all jived well. My wife and daughter loved the Wonder Woman smoothie and I liked their coffee. The granola bowls with coconut milk was delicious and so were the fresh salads. I would definitely recommend. #saipan #saipaneats #vacation #hazellbaby #beach

True Sicilian Food at Ciuri Ciuri in Seoul

cannoli in Seoul Korea True Sicilian Food at Ciuri Ciuri in Seoul Had an amazing Sicilian Italian lunch at Ciuri Ciuri in Hongdae. The arancine were huge with light floral saffron and filled with prosciutto and cream. Delicious. You could really taste the freshness of the pasta in their truffle ravioli and it had the perfect chew to the pasta. The cannoli were the star with a ringing flavor of orange zest and creamy marscapone that wasn't too sweet that paired with the incredible crunch of the shell. Wow. I will go back soon. Very impressive, authentic food. Ciuri Ciuri mapo-gu sangsu dong 314-3 FB: ciuriciuriseoul #seouleats #italiankorea #cannoli #realfood #sicilianfood #ciuriciuru

Growth Hacking the Korean Market

Korea is a very interesting country for business. For years, I have worked in the digital realm and I have leveraged it for my businesses. My main job at the companies I have worked in have been sales but technically that wasn't my position. I was either a marketing manager, team leader, owner, etc. Many Korean companies seem to think that sales is a lowly position. I have never felt that way and I feel it is something that my American sensibilities have been attuned to. I create brands, create a story, reach perspective clients and then close the deal. Sounds simple doesn't it? It doesn't seem to be that simple for many of my Korean colleagues who get caught up in the idea of saving face, job titles, and social status. Whatever, I'm over all that stuff. I like to focus on the job and get it done quickly and efficiently. I scout for the best talent and producers instead of just relying on my network and personal contacts as I found many others do. I might be ...

Is Korea Ready for the 2018 Winter Olympics?

Having done events in Korea for many years, I have had a number of phone calls from clients looking for help for the 2018 Winter Olympics. To date, I have taken numerous trips to Pyeongchang to scout out the region for venues, hotels, warehouses, staffing, supplies and more. Each time I go there to talk with city officials and people from the different committees, I am told, "It's coming. We're building it." It's this "wait and see" technique that I think will cause a major headache before next year. In short, is Korea ready for the Olympics? Well...let's wait and see. I hope so and from living in Korea for so many years, I know that, generally, it'll all work out. But before it can work out, there has to be fight, a struggle, an argument, a totally embarrassing oversight, etc. I am not trying to offend anyone here, I just know that that's the case. I find the best way to survive this is to be prepared and work out as many "Plan B...
