OK. I'm not a big fan of the Foreign Restaurant in Itaewon. Maybe it's because I've just had some subpar experiences there. Now that my favorite Indian place, Wazwan, hasn't been serving up the deliciousness these days. So, I might have to search for a new place to get my Palak Paneer fix. Chakraa has been my place of choice these days, but I can be persuaded to eat.

I'm with you Dan, my experiences of the Foreign Restaurant have not been good. Luke warm food, suspect kebabs and the dirtiest tablecloths I've seen in Itaewon. Perhaps it has changed since my last visit, but I'm very wary of their huge buffet selection. I'd choose Chakraa every time over the Foreign Restaurant. Perhaps a little more expensive, but a higher standard of delicious Indian food.
ReplyDeleteDurga, straight ahead on the right, out of exit 1 of Jonggak station, is the only Indian restaurant I need. Best naan, chicken butter masala also amazing.
ReplyDeleteDurga. Hmmm...I'll have to check it out. Paul, I agree. The Taj Palace used to be good, but lately it's been subpar. I hope they read this and up their game.

I've always enjoyed my meals at foreign restaurant. I love their hummous, fresh naan and mint sauce. My boyfriend and i go there all the time.
ReplyDeleteDuring my last visit to Chakra, I was served pretty much raw tandoori, and samosas with frozen fillings. Probably the worst experience at a restaurant. I'll go up to Jongak and try Durga-
