This coffee tastes like leftover summer barbecue mixed with a healthy dose of Seoul's acid rain with a hint of...cinnamon.
Spend a little more for the good stuff. And if you see this bag at any cafe (because most of the mom and pop joints get their stuff from cosco) run!
You learned a valuable lesson: Just because the label says "organic" it doesn't mean it tastes good.
ReplyDeleteWhen I buy from Costco in the US, it actually tasted great. But what I do now is buy directly by mail order from First Colony themselves. I stopped buying the big bag from Costco because it is fresher to have smaller bags and order more often. The coffee does not have preservatives, and that's why it goes bad if you open it and let it sit on the shelf for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI had visited First Colony's headquarters while working in Norfolk Virginia, and they roast to order. So, getting it directly from them guarantees that it is pretty fresh.
