Cooking for your dog: carrot pancakes and sunflower and peanut butter treats

I've been doing some research on what to feed your dog and I found some great recipes. Hubble doesn't like dry food at all and I have to mix in something good with it to get him to eat it. He's a really picky eater (he must be like me). These days, I've been making an egg for him in the morning and, if I make a meat dish, I give him a portion. I've found that he has been happier since I've started cooking for him. At the Maltese Terrier Guide , I found a recipe for carrot pancakes. Carrots are quite good for dogs and they are crunchy, so helps clean their teeth. I sometimes give my dog carrot slices as a treat. I also found out that dogs like broccoli as well. I'll have to give that a try next time. The Maltese Terrier Guide suggested you mash up the carrots into a paste, mix in a bit of flour and then fry them up in a fry pan. An interesting treat that I'm going to try is a sunflower and peanut butter treat. This treat is rich in protein and the pean...

Foods to Avoid Feeding Your Dog

I think you are all familiar with my dog: Hubble. Recently he went to stay at my friend Richard's house in the country (Bundang) and when he came back, he became accustomed to a whole new standard of living. I've been cooking for him these days. I usually make a scrambled egg for him in the morning and I'll share some of my dinner with him. I feel that eating this way- at regular times, is good for our relationship and for both of our healths. In the last year, I've gained quite a bit of weight: ten pounds. I guess in the line of work that I do, it is understandable; however, this is unacceptable to me. I've been on a diet since last Sunday and I've been sticking to it. These days, I eat very little rice (I've had one bowl in the last week). I eat more soups, stews, and vegetables. Also, I'm following Michael Pollan's advice to eating: "If you are not hungry enough to eat an apple, then you are not hungry." I've lost a pound in the l...

Got tiny dried squid? It's gotta be good for something. From the Food Expo we have a pumpkin and yogurt ice cream sandwich on a brown rice snack cracker. Fudge Stripes are so good. I didn't eat this, but you can get them from Sta Sera in Apgujeong. I still like my breakfast at the Flying Pan in Itaewon. Random Dudeneck on a bicycle that was outside of Coex. The worst burger in Korea award goes to: Phillies. Some poor hockey team lost their puck. This is why my dog Hubble hates me. Say what? Coffine Garunaru is going Koreazy for Konglish

Food Porn and Hubble in a Dress.

I haven't uploaded pictures in a while, so I figured I should go ahead and do that. Here are some shots that I've been holding and waiting for the right moment to upload. I'm on day four of the master cleanse(yes, I'm doing it again) so I have been romanticizing about food for the last couple of days. First up, this is a Korean Tuna Sushi place that I went to. The food was pretty and pretty good. Carol insists that Hubble is a cat and a girl, so here is my dog in a sailor dress. I think he's posing Delicious Chocolate from Passion in Hangangjin. Mignon has some tasty salads. Here's a chicken one that I got. Mignon is behind Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon, up the hill from 3 Alley. Zaza's Tea Party. Speaking of which she is having another one on Sunday at the Orange Tree. Anyone want to go? I'm cooking. I'm making Curried Egg Salad Sandwiches, a 7? layered bean dip, and some sort of wrap (I haven't decided) Potato roasted in Soy Sauce...yum. Chef Meili...

Hubble's Birthday Day

Hubble here, I would like to thank everyone that came to my birthday celebration (with the exception of Carol, who insists that I'm a cat and a girl, hence, I am wearing a Sailor Dress in a couple of the photos. Curse you Carol and may all your offspring have crooked noses and leperous features.) Anyway, thank you for coming over to my two Daddy's house. I really appreciated all of the presents (except for the sailor dress). I can't wait until my next birthday! Toodles till then,

My puppy<3 Hubble

I have a dog. Yes. I have always told everyone that I would never, ever get a pet but hey, he needed a home and I had one to provide. Lots of changes are happening in my life. Yesterday I just got a roommate too. He's a super nice guy and I think we are going to become good friends. Now for pictures of my dog! His name is Hubble and he's a Maltese. These days he's becoming a little man, so I think I'm going to have to get him fixed. He's super sweet and we always sleep together. He's always happy when company is around and he becomes super ecstatic every time I get home. (The keyword for today is Super.) He used to have long hair, but I got it chopped because it was too hot and unmanageable. That's my friend Ji-kyeong from Gyeong-ju.
