This last week has been hectic with the new site relaunch and all that. I want to first thank everyone that stuck around and continued to read the site. The story of Tartine Pie shop is an exciting example how a little elbow grease and lots of perseverance can become a nationwide trend. I don't know how many pies this little pie shop sells a day, but within 30 minutes that I sat in the shop I easily saw 30 or so get boxed up for take out. It's my favorite place to get blueberry pie and chocolate cream pie. Good stuff. Here is a great video on how a handbag shop became a pie shop. DIY: Do It Yourself If you want to cook your own turkey then there are several options for you. Costco has 7.7 kilo turkeys for sale for W80,000.                               Gourmet 494 is a gourmet cafeteria in the basement of the Galleria Department Store which you can easily get to via the new Rodeo Apgujeong Subway line. It's got an array of shopping and restaurants. You can spend the day shopping and head back to this center for every meal. I recently went there with my staff for a company meal and we got a wide arrange of different foods to try. The space is impressive. It is very luxurious and high tech as well. After you place your order, you get little electronic beacons that have GPS so servers can deliver your meal to you. The whole place is like a giant open kitchen/restaurant/cafeteria/grocery store that offers full service. Usually, I am weary of all these very mixed concepts, but I have to say that this works well.
